Current Government

Collaborate with

West and bring Islam Back

Current Tayyip Erodgan’s government (The justice and Development Party)

The interesting fact about the nation is that they forge towards both secular and more religious country. There are some people who favor Ataturk's reforms but there are some other people also who are against his political reforms for a secular state.  During Tayyip Erodgan’s government, there has been unprecendented economic growth, constitutional reforms and re-emergance as a major global power. And also they are trying to return back from westernization to islamisation to become a power in muslim world. He sent municipality men up and down sidewalks at Istanbul’s restaurants to pick up tables and chairs in the month of Ramadan. He has allowed veiling of women and has been building  new mosques because after Ataturk’s reforms, the mosques were converted to museums. He is also trying to push the nation forward to ensure it can compete and collaborate with the West and be a regional power player.

Turkey has always been globally geographical significant especially when it provides link from the West to the East. It has remained a close ally of the United States especially when U.S used Turkey to send troops to attack Iraq.

Atif Hoca said Kemalism (the reforms presented by him), may be dead but not Ataturk.
